In Adobe PHOTOSHOP, open a new canvas. We're going to learn how to make a simple panda bear, so go to File, New, and make it 100 x 100 with 72 resolution.
Hold down the CTRL button and press the + sign until you've zoomed into about 500%.
Choose the pencil tool and make sure it is 1px in size.

Okay, now that I've shown you where the pencil tool is and what size you need to focus on, let's start drawing the panda bear using different tools!
Select the elliptical marquee tool. (Hold down on the square marquee tool until an extra menu appears) Make sure the ANTIALIAS IS UNCHECKED!
Start dragging somewhere in the top right into about the middle of the canvas, and keep the SHIFT button held down!

(My image is shown at 100% size, it's not enlarged, but keep yours enlarged because it's easier)
Now, make sure your foreground color is black, and press ALT and BACKSPACE at the same time.
Click on Select, Modify, Contract and type in 1.

Now, change your foreground color to white and choose the paint can tool.
Click within the circle you made to fill it white.
Click on the new layer button and make a new layer and drag it under your layer with the circle.
On the new layer, make a smaller circle for an ear and fill it with the color black.
Do the same for the other side of the head. (Make sure the ears look even).
Now, we're going to give it some features. Slap on some circles and a smiley, and that's your face!
Okay, so I know that's not my greatest pixel ever, but you get the idea of it right??
